IndiGo Flight Chaos: Minister Blames Airline for ‘Gross Mismanagement’
1 week ago
India’s largest airline, IndiGo, is under sharp scrutiny after a wave of flight cancellations disrupted air travel across major cities this week. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has directly blamed the airline, calling the situation a result of “gross mismanagement” and internal operational lapses.
Speaking at Agenda Aaj Tak, the minister said the large-scale disruptions — which left hundreds of passengers stranded at airports in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru — were triggered by anomalies in IndiGo’s crew rostering system, a critical part of operations governed by the updated Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms.
