Jaipur:
The Rajasthan government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 48 IAS officers in what marks the first large-scale restructuring under the newly appointed Chief Secretary, V. Srinivas. The overhaul aims to strengthen governance and better align departments with the state’s current priorities.
Key Moves in the Chief Minister’s Office
Akhil Arora, who earlier oversaw the Public Health and Engineering Department as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), has now been moved to the Chief Minister’s Office as ACS. His predecessor, Shikhar Agrawal, has been assigned the Industries Department, taking charge as its senior-most administrative head.

Praveen Gupta continues to serve as the ACS for the Public Works Department. In the new arrangement, he has also been given additional portfolios—ACS Tourism, ACS Art & Culture, Chairperson of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), and CEO of the Amer Development Authority—consolidating several major departments under his leadership.
Alok Gupta, earlier Principal Secretary for Industries and BIP, has been appointed Chairman of the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board.
