IPL 2026: Jodhpur’s Ravi Bishnoi Joins Rajasthan Royals for ₹7.2 Crore

Rajasthan Royals have signed young spinner Ravi Bishnoi for ₹7.2 crore in the Indian Premier League mini auction. His base price was ₹2 crore. Several teams were interested in Bishnoi, who hails from Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The 22-year-old has played 42 T20 internationals, taking 61 wickets, and has one wicket in ODI cricket. In the IPL, he has claimed 72 wickets in 77 matches.

Bidding war for Ravi Bishnoi

The auction for Ravi Bishnoi saw an early bid from Rajasthan Royals. Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad soon joined the race, driving his price from the base ₹2 crore to ₹5.2 crore. Rajasthan Royals finally secured him with the highest bid of ₹7.2 crore.

Established identity at national and international level

Ravi has made a mark with his fast leg spin and knack for taking wickets under pressure, earning recognition at both national and international levels. Playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL is a key milestone in his career.

Team hopes to strengthen bowling attack

The Rajasthan Royals management expects Bishnoi to boost the team’s bowling line-up and play a crucial role in the upcoming season.
